"Atmosphere" is another triumphant work by Tom Ståle Engebretsen, which needs to be explored as soon as possible!!! This Norwegian artist belongs to the long list of undiscovered ambient soundsculptors across the globe waiting for their voice to be heard and then praised. Don't be afraid of this venturous ride, because a fully rewarding listening experience awaits here!!! Tom Ståle Engebretsen deserves this chance as "Atmosphere" stands stalwartly side by side with sonic monuments of 2017!!!
To me, one of the biggest surprise-albums of 2017 so far... Warpness (Tom Ståle Engebretsen) creates definitely his own sound with this album, a melange of recognizable ambient-styles... I notice some Chronotope Project (especially in part 2), some Roach, the use of field-recordings and small percussion sounds remind me of some Alio Die influence and Dataobscura-acts like Robert Davies. Even some space ambient floats around... A STUNNING album that puts Warpness on the map!! Highly recommended...
It is what it says: Atmospheric music. A small breath of traveling up above.
The sound of movement in our atmosphere. An art project with beautiful and melodic music. Relaxing ambient music, with a little edge in it.
